About Edificial

Edificial fills the gap in narratively-focused gossip-friendly architecture coverage. We're interested in the players, the stories, the deals, the history, the present, the future. We want to know about Enrique Norten's favorite tequila and just why building design + construction's 40 Under 40 (You've Never Heard of) is so important. We'll be criticizing the criticizers—where's Nicky been lately? What's up with Blair? Why is Canadian Lisa Rochon the best critic we aren't reading? (Hint: she's Canadian.)

We're also going to cover design: Dyson's awards and Murray's store. We're going to get involved in the play-by-play and pan out to take the long view. There will be roundups and linkdumps. There will also be longer essays and contributions from people we love. It'll be personal, and about what we like. But it'll also be political and polemical. We think architecture is fascinating and that it matters. We can make jokes about buildings and call out some of the jokers who call themselves architects, and still learn something about our visual environment and how it works, which is sometimes different from how it looks.
