What the fuck is Rawsthorn talking about? All I can make out of that article is "some people are doing new things." Innovation shminnovation. New sucks. Can't we just make good things?
Re: "The Us Factor: Bostwick on Mayer H."
The H. stands for Baller.
Re: "Pepsi Natural, Arnell or Not?"
Looks like rusty swampwater.
Re: "New York's KAWS for Celebration "
Wow. That cover is awful (Maurice Sendak rip-off), and last year's Best Of was too (http://nymag.com/bestofny/2008/covers/).
What's going on? They're usually pretty good the rest of the year (remember the Spitzer cover?). How can a cover about the most exciting things to do in the most exciting city on the planet be so BORING? Bright colors do not make a bright cover.
Re: "EventCity: Droog Design Open For Zaken"
I can't help it. I have, as the Italians say, "a passion."
Re: "EventCity: Droog Design Open For Zaken"
It went down (or almost went down) like this:
The blue house stood there, foam and tiny nails, and I touched it—or poked it—and the wall started to leeeeaaaannn and I waited for it to crash down. Waited forever, until some rentacop in a too-nice suit said "don't touch." And it didn't fall. So I poked it again, in his direction.

Re: "LVHRD ARCHDL V Winner Revealed!"
Didn't you hear? W$M's building was LEED-certified (those sea monsters must have been grass-fed free-range). The croissant was imported. I vote with my carbon footprint.
Re: "Left the Building: Hagberg, Volner Out at Edificial"
I've written for this blog occasionally, but biases aside, Eva and Ian: you guys are brilliant and hilarious and Edificial was awesome. The architecture world is drowning in bullshit and thank god you two badasses were there to clear a path. Without you, lost, I can only pray my death by jargon will be quick.
